Insight is a 3D hack and slash game featuring the lack of a visible health bar: instead, players are clued in on their health by changes in the environment and monsters. The closer you are to death, the more problematic the scene before you will be. Revolving around the story of a young boy who is being bullied in his school, one day, the bullies go too far and steal his entire bag, scattering its contents across the playground. With homework to hand up by the last bell and a sandwich to retrieve for lunch, the boy decides to stand up to his fears and get back his belongings – by reimagining the playground as a fantastical world where he is the hero. The game pays tribute to the strong imagination of children and touches on the theme of temporarily escaping from reality – though it will always hunt you down.
