Description
Summary:Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) has been an area intensive research to facilitate the penetration of electric products into our lives in recent years. Between two types of electrodynamics induction, inductive and capacitive, the latter methodology is preferred in a variety of applications for wireless power transfer. In most cases, the load requires constant output voltage to charge the battery, which means a voltage regulator is required for WPT system. In practice, the power receiver may not be stationary, for example moving vehicles, which results in the variation of coupling coefficient of the coil and distort the wireless power transfer efficiency. In this paper, a wireless charging prototype is built with automated control system to track its maximum efficiency charging point. The main focus of the paper would be the innovative method of control system which regulates the output voltage.
