Description
Summary:‘Token’ is a 4 minutes live-action with augmented reality visual effects film, exploring the techniques of green screen shooting and keying, 2D and 3D compositing, particle simulation, and 2D and 3D animation. This piece of work is highly designed, with the central idea of creating a second imagined environment using 2D matte paintings and animated hand-drawn graphics. The narrative involves a young boy in a monochromatic and dull environment, following a game token to enter a second, highly designed colourful space. He encounters a second boy, who challenges him to a race to retrieve his lost token.
