Description
Summary:This FYP report comprises two parts, the main part of the FYP being an illustrated book titled "Chiharu and the Magic Ashes," with children being its target audience. Taking place in Edo Japan, the eponymous protagonist Chiharu strives to find a valuable treasure for the master, only to have unexpected surprises waiting for her. The other part of this report is a 2D game called "Forest of Danger," a sister project to my FYP done for the module Programming for Art and Games. In this game, players take control of Chiharu, the main character, navigating her though a birch forest full of obstacles which she cannot touch. The report discusses the concept and process behind both the illustrated book and game, problems encountered along the way and lessons learnt.
