Description
Summary:In this report, image segmentation methods for sky/cloud analysis are discussed and explored. The aim is to investigate the limitations of sky/cloud imaging systematically, and find out the set of best practices in daytime and night-time cloud imaging. At the same time, experiments on image segmentation are carried out and it is concluded that the best color components for day and night-time images are different. In the analysis process, a night sky/cloud image database is also generated, in addition to the current publicly available day sky/cloud image database.
