To address this risk, there is a need to look for an alternative way to generate energy from the renewable sources available. Renewable resources provides one of greatest advantage of being environmentally friendly with no pollution and inexhaustible as they will get naturally replenished This final year project report describes the design and the components used in an energy conversion system that convert wasted heat energy found on the solar panel generated from the solar energy into useful electricity. Through the use of Seebeck effect, this thermal energy is harvested using a thermoelectric device that generates electricity by the temperature difference obtained from each side of the device. By incorporating a power management system to it, the voltage generated from the Peltier module can be maintained at 5 V to charge low power device.
