Summary: | In Kind, In Time is a feature-length English script touching on the themes of fate and coincidences, as well as chance and choice. Is there only an illusion of choice in life? Are we really in control of lives and the situations we are in, or are there bigger concepts and arrangements that go beyond what we can understand? It challenges the idea of our power as controllers of our lives, and raises an idea that there are elements beyond what we have access to. If things were to be pre-determined, is there any room for something different? Should we then approach life with a passive mindset?
The script is set across three centuries in three different countries. Chapter One starts off in 1760s in London, Chapter Two in 1860s in New York, and Chapter Three in 1960s in Hong Kong. Each chapter skips 100 years, and takes place across a day, a week, and a year respectively. |
