description |
Temperature sensor network is one of the wide range applications used for wireless sensor network. These wide range of applications include healthcare purposes, monitoring of equipment and environment and many more.
Instead of having the sensor and the processor connected physically together, the idea of designing a new Printed Circuit Board (PCB) which consists of these two devices will cut down the size of the node and this may be beneficial to certain use.
In the first half of this project is the process of integrating the temperature sensor, TMP100 with the microcontroller, CC1310 will be discussed in details with the understanding of the concept of I2C interface as this interface plays a major role. The design process and the specification of the temperature sensor and the microcontroller will be going through as well.
In the second half, the procedure of designing a PCB will be elaborated in details, such as importing Gerber files and creating a schematic drawing. With the steps taken and the things to take note explained.
For future work, this can be used in a larger scale project. Instead of monitoring a device on the PCB, it can be used to monitor machinery with precision temperature range. |
