Through the means of the development of Internet, technology has improved tremendously as people are able to share their idea and comments on the Web for others to view and learn. With easy Internet accessibility, social network system is becoming a key role on the evolution of the public opinion. As human minds are always perceived as complicated and complex, we will investigate how social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and etc.) can correlate with human minds and how each platform can affect one another. In particular, we aim to build a model of opinion dynamics using data and statistics to account for the emergence of media (e.g. social media platform) supported by various algorithms.
