This report covers the development of my Final Year Project, a short film titled Paper Roof. Paper Roof is a short film about two young sisters running away from trouble at home to build a cardboard house together, and a heavy downpour threatened to put an end to their escapade. It is a 12-minute long short film directed by Judith Tong and produced by myself. We worked in a core team of six, namely the Director, Producer, Director-ofPhotography, Production Designer, Editor and Sound Supervisor. Our production is supervised by co-mentors Nicole Midori Woodford and Ross Adrian Williams. This is the core group of people who followed through and supported the project from pre-production to post-production. It will also act as an objective reflection of my responsibilities in this project. It is important to note that we had a writer, Lou Mei Jun, as part of our initial core crew. Judith took over the role in the later part of pre-production, assuming the position of a writer-director.
