Thin rotating disc in this project is subjected radial tangential forces and centrifugal loading during experimentation. The geometric dimensions of the disc will be varied in order to investigate the effect of changing shape on stress concentration. According to stress concentration analysis, the maximum principal stress is found to occur at the region of 180º closest to bore center hole of the rotating disc for all cases covered. Furthermore, stress concentration factors reduce as the number of non-central holes or slots increases (from range 20 to 40).
