Description
Summary:Harvesting of renewable energy has always been an important topic for engineers. especially when impact to environment and economy are concern at present and the near future. Other method focus on the capturing of waste energy and converting it to be useful energy again. One technique is the concept of piezoelectric, by the use of electret. It is very similar to a magnet, but instead of magnetic field, it radiates a static electrical field. Having two electrets placed at close proximity, it is able to produce electrical power when their distance is varying. Thus, electret creates doorway for new research in studying of energy harvesting. The purpose of this report is to design and develop a device which can expedite vibration, having a solution which can effectively and reducing of efforts to generate power from electrets. The design will be illustrated using SolidWorks, and then fabricated with 3D printing method. Using tools such as high voltage meter and oscilloscope to obtain accurate data. From experiments, the result of these designs, and their effectiveness will be proved. This report also hopes to create ideas for future studying related to energy harvesting.
