Summary: | RNA fluorescent in-situ hybridization (FISH) and fluorescent microscopy techniques are usually trained during the molecular biology practical lessons in tertiary education centers. It is challenging to explain these procedures in text through protocols and notes. It would be best if one teacher could demonstrate and supervise one student during the experiments but it is close to impossible for any class to have 1:1 teacher to student ratio. Therefore, to solve this problem, this project was aimed to create audio-visual instructional videos of RNA FISH and fluorescent microscopy that can be used as a teaching aid during the practical lessons. These videos will be able to cater to a large number of students, visualize difficult-to-describe techniques by demonstration and can be controlled easily as they can be paused, fast forwarded or rewound. |
