《城南旧事》反映了作者林海音本身对北平故乡川流不息的浓厚乡愁。北平作为林海音的第二个故乡，不仅是“空间”与“地方”的结合，也是地理景观的再现。离开了生活二十五年的北平，“乡愁”之情油然而生。本论文将焦点投射至林海音童年时期在北平生活的日子，结合“空间”、“地方”、“乡愁”三个重要的概念，一同浅析著作《城南旧事》。小说结合二十年代的北平为背景，以主人公林英子的童年故事为主要脉络，同时穿插了许多丰富的北平民间风俗。小说也通过人物的生活引申出文化、阶级与性别等现象。以读者的身份翻阅《城南旧事》，绝对能够品尝到属于林海音的思乡之愁。Cheng Nan Jiu Shi is a reflection of Lin Haiyin’s unwavering nostalgia for Beiping (currently known as Beijing). The second hometown of Lin Haiyin, Beiping not only exudes the bonds of ‘Space’ and ‘Place’, but also a reinterpretation of it’s geographical landscape. Having lived in this place for more than two decades, feelings of ‘Nostalgia’ accompanied Lin Haiyin as she left the place she calls home. This paper shines the spotlight on Lin Haiyin’s childhood days in Beiping. This analysis of her renowned work Cheng Nan Jiu Shi focuses on three main concepts: Space, Place and Nostalgia. We delve into the childhood story of the main character Lin Ying Zi, of her life in her hometown Beiping set in the 1920s. At the same time, it is a discovery of rich folk culture and customs of Beiping. Through the lives of the characters, we also discover the phenomenon of culture, social class and gender. Assuming the role of a reader, I am certain one can definitely experience the nostalgic emotions of Lin Haiyin in her renowned masterpiece, Cheng Nan Jiu Shi.
