Conventional inclinometers have some disadvantages in the practical application, like low stability, low durability and poor resistance to electromagnetic interference. This report presents the development of a new type of inclinometer based on Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG) sensor. FBG inclinometer can provide better performance in many aspects, including high accuracy, simple structure and low cost. The working principle of FBG inclinometer is briefly introduced in this report. Two prototypes were proposed and tested respectively. This report presents the experiment procedure and result analysis on these experiments.
