Stated-preference surveys coupled with revealed-preference data shall be used for data collection and analysis on the characteristics of car-sharing such as the number of cars for car-sharing, number of stations, demand, and cost as well as price schemes. A framework is developed and used to evaluate the market potential as well as cost-benefits of car-sharing coupled with comparative analysis of car-sharing with regards to alternative modes of transport. Lastly, scenario analysis is conducted by introducing factors such as change in price scheme, increase in number of stations and change in nature of car-sharing services. Coupled with data from a secondary stated-preference survey, studies on the impact of car ownership, mobility pattern, driving behaviour as well as sensitivity of car-sharing was observed. It was found that although all three factors increased car-sharing demand, the change in price had the highest influence.
