Description
Summary:The purpose of this project was to design and implement a suitable website front-end for the NTU Intelligent Thermal Comfort Management (iTCM) system. The iTCM system aims to drive the growth of green buildings in Singapore, through the fusion of advanced machine learning algorithms, thermal comfort and building management. The website developed acts as an interaction point between the iTCM system and its users. Users will be allowed to manage their own personal data, while administrators will be allowed to view real-time statistics and to manage the data used by iTCM. The website was developed with the Facebook React JavaScript library, SASS and Axios. React.js allowed the website to be quickly built, by breaking down the implementation into reusable components. SASS is a CSS pre-processor, which allowed for placement and sizes within stylesheets to be automatically computed. Axios is a promise-based HTTP client, which was used to simplify the implementation of requests made to the iTCM backend over HTTP.
