Internet of Things (IoT) is taking its stage in the modern world. Connectivity to that many devices may become an impact to the current network system. Students in most of institute of higher learning such as University often carry more than one devices that require connectivity to the internet for its functionality. This will put a load onto the institute network which in turn will cause the network to be saturated during a certain period of the day. Students who want to access the institute network for their school work will experience a sub-par quality of service. To improve on the current network may lead to heavy cost due to purchasing of better equipment. On the other hand, students from institute of higher learning, especially from the computer engineering and computer science are required to have a vast knowledge of programming languages. Hence, each student may come across multiple programming languages in their years of study in the institute. Students are required to download and install different programming languages Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for a different course of study. This may eat into the storage spaces of their personal laptop. Students also need to keep their course notes, tutorial, and lab manual up-to-date. The system developed in this project aims to solve the issue faced with the saturation of network during peak hours as well as allow the students to have uninterrupted access to coursework even if the institute network is down. This project will be focusing on solving the issues on the saturated network and help the student to easier manage different programming IDE and as well as course notes, tutorial, and lab manual. This project will be using Raspberry Pi (RPi) as the medium for the students (user) to have their required resource in RPi. To allow this system to work, it will require a simple Content Management System (CMS) and Cloud9. CMS is for the student to have a similar localized Blackboard on the RPi where it will display the module content for the student. The Cloud9 platform is to provide a browser-based programming platform for the student to develop their program, and the work will be saved onto RPi.
