To assist students in learning hardware programming necessary for designing RISC processors, a software is developed to interface with Xilinx ISE to encapsulate certain information to prevent overwhelming the students, as well as enabling remote Xilinx ISE connection on a school server, thus offloading Xilinx ISE from the students’ computers. Design patterns were heavily researched on to achieve performance, high cohesion and low coupling. Features were selected based on the school lab materials and implemented into the software.
