Summary:With cities growing, a large number of movements are made every day, including those going to or from the workplace. Such movements data are often difficult to retrieve and understand without compromising on privacy but is essential for city planners to plan their development. This project proposes using an aggregated mobile phone tracking data to analyse movement patterns to and from La Défense, which does not contain any personal detail yet provide sufficient granularity to understand movement patterns over time on a given day. This project incorporates data from the aggregated mobile phone tracking data as well as train station data to understand how people travel to and from La Défense using the public train services. The project has partially completed its aims, mainly as the findings are still not usable for the commuters.
