Description
Summary:Energy is one of the basic elements for human being survival and in modern life. With increasing demand for oil and gas and foreseeable use-up of fossil energy, research on renewable energies has attracted great attention worldwide. Fuel cell technology can generate electricity using oxygen, hydrogen, or air. It is one of the attainable renewable energy technologies, particularly for remote areas with scattered population if resources are available. This report aims to assess the benefits of using fuel cell and other renewable energy systems by comparing their advantages and disadvantages. There are many systems available in the market today, each with their advantages and disadvantages, and by comparing it with the fuel cell, there will be a better understanding on the benefit on using fuel cell. This report also looks at the history of fuel cell which will show us the beginning of the fuel cell and the potential that they might bring to the energy market in the near future. The current renewable energy system is more stable and efficient as compared to the fuel cell, however, the fuel cell has an upper hand on their portability and the potential that could be achieve over the years. However, as there is still room for growth in the fuel cell industry, this can only be an assumption for the today’s world as the potential of fuel cell is yet to be uncovered.
