The poem runs as a voiceover in accordance with the images and animation shown on screen. In essence, the film is a visual aid to the poem. The content of this film centers around the instantaneity of the digital age and the possible pitfalls of such technology. It is a perusal into my own experiences of interactions in tandem with social media. Initially this film was heavily inspired by Logorama, a French animated film written and directed by H5; François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy and Ludovic Houplain, and produced by Autour de Minuit. Logorama tells its story through means of contemporary and historical logos, icons and mascots, and the focus largely centers around the concept of commercial branding. Logorama focuses on how such logos and brands are so deeply embedded in our daily lives that they go unnoticed. Similarly, In An Instant is an attempt to use familiar logos and icons which have become so integral to our lives to convey the concept of a digital age.
