Summary: | Mental illness is an invisible disability, yet there isn’t enough awareness about them. Most would disregard mental illnesses as they were “in your head, get over it”, as compared to physical ailments, which are more apparent and therefore, more relatable. This results in most of them choosing to suffer alone rather than to seek help, especially if people close to them are not supportive about it. Getting through daily activities with mental illnesses can get challenging, and it does not help that experiencing anxiety attacks or depressive episodes could make it more difficult. This project discusses the crippling effect of depression and anxiety, and aims to help those suffering from anxiety attacks and depressive episodes tide through their experiences and assist them in feeling better. These episodes can happen anywhere at any time, as such, the product have to be comfortably used in public, and transport them to a virtual sanctuary where they can feel safe. |
