Summary:Ya’Aburnee is a Final Year Project from Digital Animation Major that is the subject of this report. It is a short—4 minutes long—2D animation film with 2 main members (Xin Hui Tan and the writer) under supervision of Hans-Martin Rall (Hannes) and Ishu Patel. The story is about an old man who needs to deal with his wife’s death. While dealing with the tragedy, he finds himself giving the best that he can to give the last act of love to the body by burying it at the best place. Along the journey, though, another tragedy happens that make him realize and embrace the death of his beloved. This report starts with literature review concerning the story, and continued with the process of the film making, from pre-production, production, and post-production. It also covers some challenges that the team faces and how to overcome them during the one-year exploration.
