It is an energy system that manage energy distribution and provide power efficiently within a geographical area. Power converters were often used in microgrids and they were used to step up or step down the voltages depending on the targeted application. It can be used for more complicated systems that requires various power conversions such as AC to DC or DC to AC. A circuit of the converter will be required for this project and it will be built from scratch on a PCB board. This PCB board has a flexible combination, it can function as a buck or a boost converter, an inverter or act as a rectifier. The project will be using a voltage source inverter to convert DC to AC power and other parts of the power converter system will be simulated through MATLAB and Control desk.
