This project aims to build a proof-of-concept drone tracking solution using 4G as a communication link. There is a hardware component which is a MangOH Red board with integrated 4G modem, multiple sensors and GNSS to track telemetry including positioning, pressure and temperature information. There is also a cloud database and a frontend webpage that manages the data and visualises it on a 3D map. The purpose is to prove that 4G can be used to track drones with the hopes of better regulations for drone flying and relaxed restrictions.
