Description
Summary:Modern vehicle manufacturers have been trying to create the ultimate design to incorporate aesthetics, performance and safety for decades. With an ever growing car population, the rate of road accidents has also been on the rise. Some of these accidents could have been avoided should the driver had a clear vision of his surroundings at the time. This report covers the investigation into the blind spots of the ' A ' pillar of a common saloon. The vision of the driver will be measured and taken down to provide data and help create solutions to reduce the area of blind spot of the ' A ' pillar. Conventional experiments where human subjects were used which resulted in inconsistent results that are hard to replicate will be improved using technology to achieve results that are accurate and able to be replicated on any types of vehicles. This report will demonstrate the experiments done to determine blind spots of the vehicle and provide solutions to the problem.
