This project focuses on innovating and creating an android mobile application, which utilizes many features. In order to create and achieve the relevant features, we will use java programming language to develop in Android studio. Several essential features and functions require the use of Google Firebase to store the authentication and data of the end-user. A survey is conducted to observe the adoptability of creating a social media application that targets end-users that hangs out via common interest, it generated positive feedback from the majority of the target audience. The design of this social media application will require network access which allow end-users to interact with one another. The main feature is the ‘Interest group feature’, it is made up of various interest categories. Users will be able to create a hangout activity event or be able to simply join one created by another user. From the user’s perspective, it is a social media application with both features from ‘WhatsApp’ and ‘Tinder’. The purpose will not be for seeking a potential partner but to look for a valuable friendship instead, allowing them to seek for potential friends with similar hobbies or interests to hang out with.
