Summary: | Three-dimensional (3D) display, which can greatly improve the visual effects of many electronic products and offer people more realistic viewing experience, is a very promising technique for our future life. The conversion from traditional Two-dimensional (2D) display to the Three-dimensional display is the trend of modern society. But nowadays, the problems that restrict the commercialization of glass-free 3D display are the low resolution, low illumination and narrow viewing zones. In this project, the imaging methods of autostereoscopic display was introduced. And a glass-free 3D display system based on time multiplexing was built. To adapt to the system, videos that could switch between left images and right images at a high frequency were required. We used Unity3D to generate the source images which could switch at the refresh rate of 120 Hz. The basic operations of Unity3D were introduced and several examples were enumerated. Then the system was built and the viewing effect of this glass-free 3D display system was also evaluated by testing the Field of View, Frame Rate and Crosstalk value. The test results show that the viewing effect is quite good and the methods we adapted in this project could effectively improve the quality of images in a glass-free 3D display system. |
