This project will focus on developing a smart home internet of thing system which involves home appliances. Web application will be used for smart home monitoring and controlling instead of focusing on smartphone applications. The reason is that web application is more universal and it works on any internet connected devices through browser. This project will focus on functions such as sensor data monitoring, alerting and home devices controlling. Esp8266 WIFI module is used for the connection of Arduino Uno and home devices to internet. It has the advantages of low cost and small size, making the home devices work independently from the Arduino Uno R3. It can be used to modify normal home devices into internet connected devices. This project develops low cost Iot smart home solution and will help to improve the quality of life of the society.
