Description
Summary:My ultimate objective was to provide the reader with an assessment of the likelihood of success or failure of the two companies' integration efforts. In doing so, the reader would be given sufficient knowledge of these organizations in light of their history, strengths and weaknesses, strategic advantages gained by Compaq upon its acquisition of Digital, and how these advantages would provide the basis for determining Compaq's ability to succeed in the environment in which it competes. One advantage that I had in writing this paper was that several months had passed since the acquisition, thereby, providing valuable information of the past enabling me to assess more reasonably the future state of the company.
