Description
Summary:The automotive industry is fast changing. Newer models of cars come with a myriad of smart functions such as self-parking, blind spot warning and of course, self-driving capabilities. However, these are merely supported by a variety of sensors making it more of a sensory experience. For vehicles to be truly intelligent, they would need to communicate with one another. Means of communication can be done using Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X), a form of technology that allows vehicles to wirelessly transmit useful information with one another. These might include messages such as GPS coordinates, E-Brake Warning, and other traffic information about the areas surrounding the vehicle. In this project, the focus will be on how we will be able to reduce traffic accidents when there is a Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) between vehicles, particularly at traffic junctions. This is particularly done by setting up a relay to accurately and efficiently transmit data from one vehicle to another.
