In this Final Year Project, I designed and built a DC/DC step-up switching regulator using chip MC34063A, with 5V input and 12V output. In this FYP report, I will discusse about the theory, design calculations, and design considerations of the regulator. I will also give a brief introduction of other DC/DC regulator, other regulator using the chip MC34063A, and others further expansion of the regulator.
