Summary: | Terahertz spectrum remains one of the least developed region despite showing potential in various fields and applications that could greatly improve our life. A zero-index metamaterial allows wave to not experience any spatial phase change with it zero electrical permittivity and magnetic permeability. was designed and simulated to couple surface propagating waves. Therefore, this report will highlight and demonstrate how to construct a simulation model of zero-index metamaterial and study the behavior of Terahertz waves with it. All the simulations will be done using Lumerical Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) solutions software which is a two-dimensional/three-dimensional full wave solver that employs finite integration method.
