Summary: | Robots have been playing an important role in our society. With the development of the technology and science, the new concept of ‘soft robotics’ has been brought out to overcome the limitation of the conventional robotics. With the concept of ‘soft robotics’, robots are getting more flexible and capable when executing a task. The concept of 'soft microfluidics' for the application of soft robots further improved and boarded the realm of soft robotics. This is quite a new research topic, and not much research or discoveries have been done yet, there are still areas that call for further investigation and development. This review provides a comprehensive literature review on the existing technologies of current research areas of 'soft microfluidics' for the application of soft robots and a preliminary design of an experimental test rig. |
