Summary:This project was designed to identify the individuals by their gait, so called an automatic human identification system based on people’s walking features, which can contribute in security and surveillance systems. The project has a great potential if integrated with surveillance system, as we know, it is hard to recognize people by facial recognizing system if the image is not clear enough or the face was under cover, but gait can be easily captured even without high resolution camera, in this project, By recording and comparing the walking signals, after several steps of signal normalization and extraction, the output will be a photo of an individual if the walking signal is matched with the database.
