Summary: | Uncertainties of solar generation have brought challenges to daily power system operation. System operators need to incorporate uncertainties into the solution process of unit commitment. This final year project report proposes a new robust approach with the demand response program for unit commitment to deal with the uncertainty of solar energy. The proposed formulation minimizes the expected total generation costs and provides a solution, where in any situation of solar energy the actual generation output of the next day can be calculated with the reference output and the parameter for adjustment. Results and corresponding simulations on the 6-bus system demonstrate the superiority of the proposed approach. |
