Summary: | Due to the increasing energy consumption in the household around the world, most of the household are switching to the energy efficient LED lighting system from a conventional lighting system. As LEDs are low cost, have better performance and long life expectancy, it plays an important role in reducing the energy consumption at home. To provide the flexibility of controlling LED’s intensity in the house and turning on or off LED automatically, a new development on the lighting system design is implemented. A detailed procedure of implementing the LED lighting system is discussed. Firstly, the background and research of LED lighting system are discussed followed by a literature review on the past studies of the LED lighting system. Furthermore, the selection of hardware components and the development of software sections are explained. Finally, the prototype was designed and implemented to carry out the demonstration. From the outcome of the project, the capability to control the system with the wireless connectivity and multi-sensors may lessen the cost as well as the design’s complexity of this project. |
