Description
Summary:This report provides the reader on the motivation behind the android application software being developed. Research was then conducted to test how marketable the application is, and how the application could be shaped to fit into the society’s needs. From the finding, it was noted that reasons behind individuals not engaging in sport activities are time, and having no interests in the sport. Further research was conducted to provide insight on the strengths and weaknesses of similar applications that has been developed. Next, a plan was formed from these findings, and refined by applying software engineering knowledge into the project. The project chose Android Studio and Firebase as its main software platform. Additionally, the main functions of the application will be host event, find event, profile settings and chat. The application named PlaySport was then developed to motivate people in engaging in more sport activities. As the app is user-centered, many tweaks were performed on the app by collecting multiple feedback from selected users.
