Summary:In the recent few years, there has been a rise in insider threats. Insider threats are defined as, malicious threats that are detrimental to the company, which arises from employees of the company, hence, insider threats. Insider threats are harmful to the company because there would be employees who are privy to confidential details. It could range from something as simple as an upcoming marketing strategy to the research and development done for an upcoming product. Other examples of insider threats that can be committed by employees are, monetizing sensitive data, fraud, sabotage and espionage [1]. Insider threats can cause the company huge financial losses, leakage of confidential data and detrimental to the company image. The objective of the project is to develop a game assessment tool of insider threat to investigate personality traits and insider behaviours for protective monitoring against attacks. This would prove to be useful in interview stages where it would be possible to monitor people with insider behaviours if they are within the company.
