Description
Summary:With the rise of industry 4.0, automation is becoming the norm for manufacturing industries. However, for processes and products which are not commonly mass produced and require human labour due to their intricacies, the capability to automate these procedures are largely unknown. Thus, in collaboration with ST Electronics (Satellite Systems Pte Ltd), this project aims to develop an automation prototype able to complete the insert potting process for honeycomb panels. Studies carried out in this report include the equipment and motion needed to complete the movement of the process as well as the analysis of sensors able to detect the potting compound. Experiments on the sensors and developed prototype will also be conducted within this project. Upon completion of the experiment, the results and discussions will be done.
