Though it is mostly used in modern motion games and robotics, its has great potential in healthcare and fitness industry. This article introduces a project developing a gaming program based on rule-based motion recognition algorithm and Kinect for Windows v2. Such program can help elderly and handicapped people against chronic diseases by guiding them to do regular exercise. With Kinect v2, the performance has increased significantly comparing to Kinect v1. Besides the feature of the program, the rule-based motion recognition algorithm is also highly valuable for further use in other application.
