It is also able to evaluate or detect differences in characteristics without disrupting the system or causing the part or assembly to be dismantled or destroyed. In other words, the part can still be used when the inspection or test is completed In contrast to NDT, there are other many other testing processes which are destructive in nature and are not tested on the materials, parts, components or even assembly that are being used in the industry but are tested on a limited number of sample instead. These destructive tests are used to determine the physical properties of materials such as impact resistance, fatigue strength yield, ductility, ultimate tensile strength, fracture toughness, unfortunately defects or differences and discontinuities in material characteristics are not effective. In the industry today, NDT are widely used to determine such defects or discontinuities in materials. In the current market or industry, NDT are constantly used in fabrication, manufacturing and inspections to make sure that the product is of quality and to ensure the reliability of the product or assembly. In the course of construction, NDT is used to ensure the integrity of the assembly especially joints and other welded areas allowing for the safe use of the public. Despite the practicality of NDT, new methods and innovations are constantly sought after to increase accuracy and reduce cost and time needed for testing [1].
