In the case of Singapore’s freight transportation, the problem of labour crunch for truck drivers severely affects the efficiency of transportation. Thence, it accentuates the need to evaluate the use of high productivity freight vehicle in Singapore to ensure it retain its title as the top logistics hub. In this paper, the emphasis will be placed on truck platooning as a viable alternative to resolve labour crunch and increase efficiency of transportation. Despite the wide usage of truck platooning in European and American context, there are insufficient studies perform on Singapore’s road to justify truck platooning feasibility. Even though PSA Corporation are undergoing trials to implement truck platooning for inter gateway haulage, the implementation are within a restricted premises and is unable to justify the use of truck platooning on main roads. Using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, this paper analyse the feasibility of implementing truck platooning in Singapore’s main road with reference to the government’s future development. A force field analysis is first use to identify the supporting and restraining force to implement truck platooning. Following which, mathematical models has been adopted from literature reviews to fit into Singapore’s context so as to identify the feasibility, as well as the benefit of employing truck platooning in Singapore’s landscape.
