Description
Summary:Despite having existed for thousands of years, there is still much scepticism and misunderstandings towards TCM, due to its profound and abstract basic concepts. There is a lack of a convenient platform that provides simple explanations on TCM for the public in Singapore. In order to promote the further development of TCM in Singapore, it is essential to educate interested members of the public on such basic knowledge on TCM. Thus, the first objective of this project is to provide a platform to raise awareness and promote the interest and understanding of TCM in Singapore. This coincides with the NTU CMAA’s efforts to innovate the advancements of CM in Singapore. Therefore, with the second objective to promote and support the NTU CMAA’s endeavours, this project is done in collaboration with the Association to create a website that acts as a platform to educate and to promote to the public, both TCM as well as the NTU CMAA. The results show that it is a favourable attempt, but much more efforts have to be done in the long run to improve the acceptance rate of TCM and integrative healthcare in Singapore.
