Summary: | He Hua is a new immigrant writer who loves classical literature. His writing skills are solid, and he is well known for writing succinct essays. From literature, painting and calligraphy, to drama, film, and food, his subject matters are very extensive, and the contents of his works are also closely related to daily life. He loves to travel, and his writings based on his travel experience are delicate and calm, with a sense of humanistic care. The transnational perspectives engender the author's continuous leap in identity, geography, nationality and culture. Through detailed analysis and comparisons of his works, this paper tries to explore the emotions, identity and ethnic culture of a diaspora, while focusing on He Hua with a separation mentality from his home country and the extent of integration in the country of residence. This presents a comprehensive exploration of He Hua's diaspora and affinity to his new place of residence. |
