The virtual game is designed to simulate the physical room in the Active Living for the Elderly (LILY) Laboratory in School of Computer Science and Engineering in Nanyang Technological University. The Virtual Escape Room Game implemented in this project could be played as an independently complete game, or as a part of the escape room game in the laboratory. The target players of the game include visiting scholars, professors and students to SCSE NTU, as well as elderly of the local community. As the mission of LILY where the game will be played, the design of computing technologies focuses on helping the elderly enjoy an active and independent lifestyle. With this mission in mind, the design of this project tried to adapt to the diversity of players, and especially suitable for elderly to play with. The game “Virtual Escape Room” is created using Unity 3D, a cross-platform game engine.
