Summary: | Currently, existing photocatalytic materials are mainly metal oxides such as TiO2 could only allow photocatalyst to occur in the range of the UV spectrum with moderate to high photoefficiency. While many researches has been done on metal oxides or combining other materials with metal oxides or semiconducting materials, there are few researches done using chalcogenide materials or integrating chalcogenide compounds with other materials or elements to produce a material or composite to that have photocatalytic properties and yet, with high photoefficiency under visible light range. With this in mind, the purpose of this project aims to explore and characterise other metal chalcogenides that may or can perform photocatalyst under visible light range with high photoefficiency that can be use for real life application. |
