It studied the impact playing the game had on the stress levels of university students and aims to help students develop skills to better manage stress. Escape games serve as a popular form of entertainment for people of all ages. They are immersive experiences that usually require a team of players to solve various puzzles to complete an objective and escape the game. The puzzles provoke the players to use their logical thinking skills to analyze the clues and come to a solution. This report describes the whole process of design, implementation and testing of the software project as produced by the author. The escape game application was made using Unity 3D in C#. The design of the game scenes was based on actual NTU campus locations. NTU Students were invited to play the game to get feedback on the game’s usability and difficulty and test its influence on the player’s stress level. From the data collected, it is evident that this is an effective stress reliever and further extending the game would be well accepted by the target users.
