In recent years, organisations are delivering better solutions from data that was gathered from the consumer. However, with the rising concerns over data privacy, many organisations are facing challenges to share their data efficiently and safely without infringing the privacy of the consumer. The aim of this project is to research and develop a web-based data sharing system to cater to the exponential demand for data. This system encourages data sharing by allowing the authorised user to search for data residing in another database owned by another collaborator. Privacy-Preserving Analytics system was implemented with a data access control mechanism. This data access control mechanism allows the sharing of data while preserving the privacy of the consumer. Data access control can be decentralised to permit data owners to have full control over the types of data that can be searched. After decentralising data access control, the endpoints between different sub-systems can be protected using digital signature. Moving forward, the potential security enhancement for this project is to permit the authorised users to search in an encrypted database. The purpose of this report is to convey the research and decision made for the design and implementation of this system.
